Volleyball Recap: Forest Lake Takes a Loss

If Forest Lake was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Cambridge-Isanti on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Rangers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Willmar Cardinals on Saturday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rangers of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Willmar found their leader in sophomore Jordan Blahosky, who had 11 digs and three assists. Blahosky is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least ten every time she's taken the court this season.

Forest Lake now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Willmar, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.

Forest Lake will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Mounds View at 7:00 p.m. on the 16th. As for Willmar, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against New Prague on the 6th.
