Basketball Game Preview: Alta Loma Braves vs. Los Altos Conquerors

The Alta Loma Braves are taking a road trip to square off against the Los Altos Conquerors at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Los Altos took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Alta Loma, who comes in off a win.

Alta Loma is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They really took it to Upland for the full four quarters, racking up a 73-28 victory. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Braves had established a 38 point advantage.

Alta Loma can attribute much of their success to Britain Hall, who went 11 for 15 on her way to 30 points and five steals, and Mia Valle, who posted 22 points and five assists. Those 30 points gave Hall a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Mariah Geary, who had three points and five steals.

Meanwhile, Los Altos was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were beaten by San Dimas 69-26. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Conquerors have suffered since December 28, 2024.

Los Altos' loss dropped their record down to 12-15. As for Alta Loma, they moved to 11-9 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Alta Loma came up short against Los Altos when the teams last played two weeks ago, falling 50-43. Can Alta Loma avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
