Soccer Recap: Whittier Comes Up Short

Whittier was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the La Serna Lancers, falling 7-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Whittier of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2025.

Whittier's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9-1. As for La Serna, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-1-2 and their overall record up to 7-10-3.

Coming up, Whittier will be playing at home against California at 11:00 a.m. on Monday. California's last four matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for La Serna, they will head out to square off against El Rancho at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
