Football Recap: Park Rapids Falls to Perham in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Park Rapids unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell 20-14 to the Perham Yellowjackets on Friday. The Panthers lost against the Yellowjackets in their previous head to head back in October of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 34-7 score last time.

Although Park Rapids took the loss, they still got scores from Corbin Schiller and Parker Hunter.

Park Rapids didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Schiller and Jaydon Walen.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Park Rapids is headed away from home for the first time to face off against Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Perham, they will head out to take on East Grand Forks at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
