Baseball Recap: Logan Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Desert Hills, Logan was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They came out on top against the Highland Rams by a score of 7-2.

Rylee Hoth was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Kolt Redd, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

Logan's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Highland, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Looking ahead, Logan will take on Richfield at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Wildcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.17 runs per game on average), something the Grizzlies will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Highland, they are taking a road trip to square off against Eagle at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
