Baseball Game Preview: Max S. Hayes Lakers vs. Steele Comets

The Max S. Hayes Lakers and the Steele Comets, after both having extra time off, will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Max S. Hayes came into their game last Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Rhodes, falling 10-0. Considering the last time the Lakers couldn't score was back in March, the team can't take the result too hard.

Meanwhile, Steele owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance last Tuesday. They walked away with a 4-0 win over Midview. The Comets haven't had any issues with the Middies recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

The result came thanks to Harrison Schneider's shutout, as he gave up just three hits and racked up 12 Ks.

At the plate, Steele let Landon Wolf and Cole Marquez run wild. Wolf went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double, while Marquez got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Steele's win bumped their record up to 14-3. As for Max S. Hayes, they moved to 6-5 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
