Soccer Recap: Vacaville Triumphs

Vacaville won the last time they faced Alhambra and things went their way on Saturday too. The Vacaville Bulldogs walked away with a 3-1 win over the Alhambra Bulldogs. Jayla Whittaker had to tread lightly for part of the match after she was hit with a yellow card, but that was the only trouble Vacaville got from the refs.

Vacaville hit Alhambra with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Sophia Franzoni, Samantha Macniven, and Kailee Pinlac.

Vacaville's victory bumped their record up to 5-1-2. As for Alhambra, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Vacaville will face off against Winters at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Winters will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something Vacaville surely won't give up without a fight. As for Alhambra, they will square off against Archie Williams at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Archie Williams' last five matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
