Recap: Leigh Longhorns vs. Willow Glen Rams
After flying high against the Hill Falcons last Thursday, the Leigh Longhorns came back down to earth. Leigh took a 45-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of Willow Glen on Tuesday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Leigh has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Leigh saw an underclassman step up: Cali Wallace scored 15 points. Those 15 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Emily Chen, who scored seven points.
It was another big night for Natalia Valerio, who scored 17 points along with eight rebounds and four steals for Willow Glen. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucia Diaz, who scored 12 points.
Leigh's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Willow Glen, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.
Leigh will be playing at home against Oak Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Willow Glen, they will head out on the road to face off against Silver Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
