Basketball Game Preview: Southwest SD Raiders vs. Crawford Colts

The Southwest SD Raiders and the Crawford Colts will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Southwest SD is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Orange Glen 56-13 on Saturday. The victory was nothing new for the Raiders as they're now sitting on three straight.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Southwest SD to victory, but perhaps none more so than Pilar Carrera, who posted 16 points. Another player making a difference was Jazlyn Martinez, who put up 14 points.

Meanwhile, Crawford suffered their closest defeat since February 8th on Tuesday. They fell just short of Hoover by a score of 70-67. The Colts haven't had much luck with the Cardinals recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Crawford's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Southwest SD, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.

Southwest SD was dealt a bruising 58-28 defeat at the hands of Crawford in their previous meeting back in December of 2019. Can Southwest SD avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
