Baseball Game Preview: Stone Mountain Pirates vs. Riverdale Raiders

For the second straight game, Stone Mountain will face off against Riverdale. Stone Mountain will head out on the road to square off against Riverdale at 5:55 p.m. on Monday. Stone Mountain is looking for their season's first victory.

Stone Mountain is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They lost 20-6 to Riverdale on Friday.

For Riverdale's part, Jacob Rachmann was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Rachmann has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing seven bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 1.4 stolen bases per game.

In other batting news, Joel Rachmann was a standout: he scored three runs and stole four bases while going 2-for-3. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged two or more in each of the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Keith Haylock, who scored three runs and stole four bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Riverdale always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .806. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The win made it two in a row for Riverdale and bumps their season record up to 4-6. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Stone Mountain, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.
