Baseball Game Preview: Berea Pirates vs. Madison Central Indians

The Berea Pirates are taking a road trip to take on the Madison Central Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Berea is headed into Monday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight games on Friday. They came up short against Nicholas County, falling 13-3.

Nathan Prophitt made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Madison Central faced Whitley County in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Indians lost 13-3 to the Colonels. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Indians have suffered since April 7th.

Madison Central's defeat dropped their record down to 24-11. As for Berea, their loss dropped their record down to 7-21.

Berea might still be hurting after the 18-0 defeat they got from Madison Central in their previous meeting back in May of 2022. Can the Pirates avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
