Basketball Recap: West Branch Takes a Loss

West Branch was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Glendale Vikings, falling 39-16. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vikings apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Madison Peterson was her usual excellent self, putting up 16 points for Glendale. That makes it six consecutive games in which Peterson has scored at least a third of Glendale's points. Another player making a difference was Brielle Mcmillen, who posted nine points.

West Branch's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Glendale, their win bumped their record up to 4-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Branch will take on Blacklick Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Glendale, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Juniata Valley at 7:15 p.m. on January 15th.
