Football Game Preview: Poultney Blue Devils vs. Springfield Cosmos

The Poultney Blue Devils will venture away from home to take on the Springfield Cosmos at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Poultney is looking for their season's first win.

On Saturday, Poultney came up short against Milton and fell 14-6.

Meanwhile, Springfield faced Bellows Falls in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Cosmos were dealt a 49-6 loss at the hands of the Terriers. The loss was the Cosmos' first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Springfield fell to 3-1. As for Poultney, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

Poultney and Springfield were almost perfectly matched up in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, but Poultney suffered an agonizing 21-20 loss. Can the Blue Devils avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
