Basketball Recap: Canyon Takes a Loss

On Saturday, the Canyon Comanches ended up a good deal behind the Ramona Rams and lost 51-32. The Comanches have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Olivia Molina continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Ramona, going 11 for 19 on her way to 28 points and seven boards. Molina is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Diana Najera, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine assists.

Canyon's defeat dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Ramona, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-3.

Canyon wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 53-36 loss against Crean Lutheran on the 17th. Ramona has also already played their next contest, a 50-20 victory against Jurupa Valley on the 14th.
