Recap: Lower Moreland Lions vs. Quakertown Panthers
The Lower Moreland Lions came tearing into Thursday's contest with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16 points) and they left with even more momentum. They claimed a resounding 57-19 win over Quakertown at home. The result was nothing new for Lower Moreland, who have now won three matches by 20 points or more so far this season.
Lower Moreland found their leader in underclassman Sydney Santora, who scored nine points along with five steals. Santora is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Dani Brusha, who scored seven points along with four steals.
Lower Moreland pushed their record up to 7-3 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 24.33 points. As for Quakertown, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lower Moreland will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Hatboro-Horsham at 7:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024.
