Basketball Recap: Rocklin Takes a Loss

Rocklin lost against St. Francis back in February of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Rocklin Thunder were outmatched by the St. Francis Troubadours and fell 64-31. The game marked the Thunder's lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

St. Francis got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Tayli Paeu-Lindgren out in front who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds. Paeu-Lindgren is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down nine or more in the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Sydney Teoh, who went 6 of 11 en route to 16 points along with six assists and six boards.

Rocklin dropped their record down to 8-9 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for St. Francis, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-8.

Rocklin will be playing in front of their home fans against Granite Bay at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Rocklin is facing Granite Bay at the right time seeing as Granite Bay is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for St. Francis, they will face off against Oak Ridge at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
