Soccer Recap: Sequoyah Finds Home Pitch Redemption Against Lassiter

There's no place like home for Sequoyah, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Lassiter Trojans on Friday, sneaking past 2-1. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Chiefs' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 239th, while the Trojans are ranked 25th).

Miles Ulloa was the driving force of Sequoyah's attack as he scored both of Sequoyah's goals, bringing his season total up to five goals.

With the win, Sequoyah broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-7. As for Lassiter, the defeat snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 6-1 record.

Coincidentally, Sequoyah and Lassiter will both be playing Sprayberry the next time they take the pitch. Lassiter will host Sprayberry at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Sequoyah will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
