Softball Recap: Cherokee Takes Down Paulding County in a Playoff Battle

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Cherokee walked away with it. They were the clear victors by a 9-3 margin over the Paulding County Patriots on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won 13 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Cherokee's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 21-11. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Paulding County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-14 record this season.

As of now, neither Cherokee nor Paulding County have any future games scheduled.
