Baseball Recap: Concord Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Clayton Valley Charter, Concord was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They walked away with an 8-4 victory over the Hercules Titans. While the Bears didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-18), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Aaron Hunt was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. That triple was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Damian Kochaphum, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Concord's record now sits at 6-4. As for Hercules, their loss dropped their record down to 5-8-2.

Looking ahead, Concord will be taking part in a tournament against Piedmont at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Hercules, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 13-2 win against Richmond on the 2nd.
