Flint River Academy had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Deerfield-Windsor Knights as they made off with a 16-2 victory. With that win, the Wildcats brought their scoring average up to 7.1 runs per game.

The team relied heavily on Rhyan Banks, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two stolen bases, and five RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in August of 2024. Another player making a difference was Kinley Rasbury, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base.

Flint River Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .650. They are 3-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Flint River Academy's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Deerfield-Windsor, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Flint River Academy will face off against Heritage at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Deerfield-Windsor, they will square off against Terrell Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The game will give the Knights their first taste of in-conference action this season.
