Pope John Paul II waltzed into their contest on Saturday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the St. Thomas Aquinas Falcons. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Jaguars also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2022.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Pope John Paul II who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 23-25, 15-8.

Kady Benedic paced Pope John Paul II's offense, picking up 14 kills. Benedic got some help from Frankie Thompson and her 26 assists. Thompson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Pope John Paul II's victory bumped their record up to 18-13. As for St. Thomas Aquinas, their loss ended a six-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-8.
