Softball Recap: Harris County Takes Down North Springs in a Playoff Battle

Harris County had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They didn't even let the North Springs Spartans on the board on Monday, marking the Tigers' second-straight 15-0 shutout. Considering the Tigers have won 21 games by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Harris County got a massive performance out of Gracie Guthrey, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Ivy McCormick, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles.

Harris County hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in eight consecutive matchups.

Harris County pushed their record up to 27-4 with the victory, which was their 13th straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.9 runs over those games. As for North Springs, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-16.

As of now, neither Harris County nor the Spartans have any future games scheduled.
