Basketball Recap: Eiresslee Wells Key Part of a Team Effort in Indians Win

Palm Springs won the last time they faced Jurupa Hills and things went their way on Friday too. The Palm Springs Indians strolled past the Jurupa Hills Spartans with points to spare, taking the game 42-27.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Palm Springs to victory, but perhaps none more so than Eiresslee Wells, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 16 boards. The dominant performance also gave Wells a new career-high in steals (six). Shayla Bates was another key player, dropping a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds.

Palm Springs' victory bumped their record up to 16-10. As for Jurupa Hills, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-13.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Palm Springs will face off against Palm Desert at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Jurupa Hills, they will take on Rim of the World in a tournament on Monday.
