Basketball Recap: Piedmont Hills Comes Up Short

Piedmont Hills was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 45-40 heartbreaker at the hands of the Westmont Warriors. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pirates this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 47-32 on January 14th.

Piedmont Hills' record now sits at 10-10. As for Westmont, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Piedmont Hills has already played their next contest (against Ann Sobrato), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Westmont is taking a road trip to take on Santa Teresa at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Santa Teresa will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Westmont surely won't give up without a fight.
