Basketball Recap: Northview Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Northview entered their tilt with Covina on Monday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They walked away with a 55-46 win over the Colts. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 42-35 back in January.

Several Colts players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brianna Gaytan, who went 7-for-15 to rack up 20 points and five rebounds. That was a full 43.5% of Covina's points, marking the fifth time in a row Gaytan has posted more than a third of the team's points. Kennedy P was another key player, putting up eight points in addition to six steals and five boards.

Northview's victory bumped their record up to 7-19. As for Covina, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-18 record this season.
