Basketball Recap: Boyertown's Losing Streak Snapped at Five Games

Boyertown hadn't done well against Owen J. Roberts recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Boyertown Bears took down the Owen J. Roberts Wildcats 52-36. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 52-19 back in December of 2024.

Boyertown's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chloe Engler, who went 9 of 17 en route to 22 points and four steals. The dominant performance gave Engler a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Madelyn Weaver, who went 7 for 17 on her way to 17 points and three steals.

With the victory, Boyertown broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-14. As for Owen J. Roberts, their defeat was their eighth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-18.

As of now, neither Boyertown nor Owen J. Roberts have any future games scheduled.
