Soccer Game Preview: San Rafael vs. Archie Williams

The San Rafael Bulldogs will square off against the Archie Williams Peregrine Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.

San Rafael fell victim to Tamalpais and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They came up short against the Red Tailed Hawks, falling 6-0. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 569th, while the Red Tailed Hawks are ranked 114th).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Archie Williams). They blew past Novato 8-1 on Tuesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

San Rafael's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Archie Williams, the win got them back to even at 4-4-4.
