Baseball Recap: Montclair Gets the Win

While Montclair's victory against North Bergen wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Mounties skirted past the Bruins 9-7. The win continues a trend for the Mounties in their matchups with the Bruins: they've now won seven in a row.

Asher Seawell and Clyve Hodari did most of the damage at the plate: Seawell went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI, while Hodari went 1-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. Those three hits gave Seawell a new career-high.

Montclair's victory bumped their record up to 11-13. As for North Bergen, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-11.

Coming up, Montclair will take on Nutley at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The last three games the Raiders have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. North Bergen does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
