Basketball Recap: University Takes a Loss

University lost against Northwood back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The University Trojans received a blow as they fell 51-32 to the Northwood Timberwolves. The Trojans just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

When it comes to explaining why University lost, don't look at Julia Holmes. Despite the final result, she posted seven points and eight rebounds. Holmes is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last six games she's played. Another player making a difference was Selin Haytoglu, who had seven points.

University's record now sits at 3-8. As for Northwood, with the win, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-9.

University won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Cerritos at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Northwood, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Polytechnic at 3:00 p.m. on December 26th.
