Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only West Orange-Stark walked away with it. Everything went their way against the Sinton Pirates on Friday as they made off with a 28-3 victory. The win was familiar territory for the Mustangs, who have now won ten matchups in a row.

It was another big night for Khelvy Jefferson, who rushed for 216 yards and three TDs while picking up 13.5 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional for a while as that marked his tenth straight game with at least 128 rushing yards.

Jefferson was just one part of a punishing run game: West Orange-Stark was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 322 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 170 rushing yards in 19 consecutive games dating back to last season.

West Orange-Stark's record now sits at 12-3. As for Sinton, the loss snapped their winning streak at seven games and leaves them with a 13-2 record.

West Orange-Stark and Carthage will compete for holiday cheer at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. The Mustangs will need to watch out since the Bulldogs have now posted at least 31 points in their last 14 contests. Sinton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
