Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Jackson). Their defense stepped up to hand the Mays Raiders a 10-0 shutout on Friday. The victory was familiar territory for Jackson, who have now won four matches in a row.

Jackson's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three contests. As for Mays, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season.

Jackson and Mays could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings. Jackson (ranked 179th) will meet Pace Academy (ranked 35th) at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Mays will take on Cristo Rey Atlanta at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday down 314 places (400 vs. 86).
