Kyara Walter commands the offense for Grizzlies win

Recap: Mission Hills Grizzlies vs. Priory Panthers

The Mission Hills Grizzlies came tearing into Saturday's match with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.5 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took down Priory 66-50. Given Mission Hills' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 21st, while Priory is ranked 147th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mission Hills to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kyara Walter, who scored 14 points along with six steals and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Maria Gorbushin, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Mission Hills has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 12-6 record this season. As for Priory, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-5.

Mission Hills and Folsom will face off at 2:30 p.m. on January 15th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Folsom has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 440 points over their last six contests. As for Priory, they will face off against Salesian College Preparatory at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Salesian College Preparatory is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 51.3 points per game.
