Soccer Game Preview: Homestead vs. Los Altos

Homestead and Los Altos are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but likely not for long. The Homestead Mustangs will head out on the road to take on the Los Altos Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Homestead headed into their last contest having not scored more than one goal for three straight, but Gunn let them put that streak behind them. Homestead put the hurt on Gunn with a sharp 9-0 victory on Friday. That nine goal margin sets a new team best for the Mustangs this season.

Meanwhile, Los Altos and Palo Alto finished up their match with a 0-0 draw on Friday.

The win snapped Homestead's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-5-4 record. Los Altos' draw gives them a new season record of 3-7-2.

Homestead came out on top in a nail-biter against Los Altos in their previous meeting on January 8th, sneaking past 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Homestead since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
