Soccer Recap: Yelm Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Yelm was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Sumner Spartans, falling 7-0. While losing is never fun, Yelm can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 231st, while Sumner are ranked 14th).

Yelm's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7-2. As for Sumner, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-1-3.

Coming up, Yelm will square off against South Kitsap at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Sumner, they will challenge Spanaway Lake at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Sumner will be up against Spanaway Lake's rather soft defense (which has allowed 4.55 goals per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
