Football Recap: Harmon Takes a Loss

Harmon had lost six straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 1-7 to make it seven. They were beaten by the Northeast Vikings 55-12. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hawks of the 56-6 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

As for Northeast, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-6. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Jonathon Louis was the offensive standout of the matchup as he threw for 212 yards and three touchdowns on perfect 8-for-8 passing. Those 212 passing yards gave him a new career-high. Northeast's leading receiver Adrian Gant was Louis' top target yet again, picking up 111 receiving yards and one score.

Harmon and Northeast could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in their respective state rankings. The Hawks (ranked 228th) will meet Spring Hill (ranked 23rd) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Northeast will square off against Savannah at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (299 vs. 51).
