Baseball Recap: Hercules Takes a Loss

After soaring to 14 runs the game before, Hercules was a bit more limited in their game on Wednesday. They lost 9-2 to the Oakland Tech Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Titans of the 6-4 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Hercules saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nathaniel Melgoza, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. Jason Kao was another, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Hercules' defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Hercules has already played their next matchup (against Sonoma Valley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Oakland Tech, they have already played their next contest, a 10-0 win against Washington on the 22nd.
