Soccer Recap: La Salle Comes Up Short

After flying high against St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy last Thursday, La Salle came back down to earth. The La Salle Lancers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bishop Amat Lancers on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for La Salle in their matchups with Bishop Amat: they've now lost four in a row.

La Salle's loss dropped their record down to 4-7-2. As for Bishop Amat, their victory bumped their record up to 11-6-3.

La Salle will face off against Saint Joseph at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Saint Joseph's defense has only allowed 0.2 goals per game this season, so La Salle's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Bishop Amat, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Paraclete at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Paraclete's last four games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
