Braley Stewart was a major factor in Gilmer's win over Ridgeland on Tuesday. Stewart struck out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up four earned runs off nine hits, which was good enough to set a new career-high in strikeouts.

Stewart's strong effort led Gilmer over Ridgeland and she'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Bobcats have some work to do to even out the 2-8 series between these two since August of 2019, but a win here would be a good start.
