Volleyball Recap: Shawnee Heights Comes Up Short

Shawnee Heights lost against Blue Valley Northwest back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Thunderbirds took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Huskies.

Blue Valley Northwest found their leader in sophomore Maddie Manza, who had 18 digs and two aces.

Shawnee Heights has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season. As for Blue Valley Northwest, their victory bumped their record up to 6-13.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shawnee Heights will welcome Piper on Tuesday. As for Blue Valley Northwest, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Blue Valley North at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
