Edgewood came tearing into Wednesday's game with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 38.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Southlands Christian Eagles with a sharp 54-28 win. The Lions have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

Edgewood's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-11. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 16.7 points per game. As for Southlands Christian, they moved to 11-7 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Edgewood won't have much time to rest: their next match is against La Puente at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday.
