Baseball Recap: Calhoun County Takes a Loss

Calhoun County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 29-1 to the Monroe Golden Tornadoes.

Calhoun County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Monroe, their victory bumped their record up to 7-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Calhoun County will square off against Southwest Georgia STEM Charter at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Monroe, they will face off against Westover at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Patriots have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12 runs per game on average), something the Golden Tornadoes will no doubt try to take advantage of.
