Softball Recap: Lincoln Northwest Takes a Loss

Lincoln Northwest extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 12 on Saturday, dropping them down to 0-8. They lost 11-1 to the Twin River Titans. If the Falcons were looking for revenge after losing 7-3 to the Titans when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Lincoln Northwest saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alexa Dankert, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run. Jalyn Teichmeier also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

As for Twin River, their record is now 5-6. With that victory, they brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

On Twin River's side, Adalyn Bishop was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI and one double. Those five RBI gave Bishop a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Briley Dohmen, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs and one RBI.

Looking ahead, Lincoln Northwest will challenge Hastings at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Twin River, they will square off against Freeman at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
