With a playoff win on the line, North Cobb rose to the challenge on Monday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Hillgrove Hawks a 6-0 shutout. Considering the Warriors have won 13 matchups by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The win was the fifth in a row for North Cobb, bringing their record up to 23-7. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Hillgrove, they now have a losing record of 13-14.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: North Cobb beat the Hawks by a score of 5-0 later that day.
