Softball Game Preview: West Hancock Eagles vs. North Union Warriors

West Hancock is 0-10 against North Union since June of 2017 but things could change on Monday. The Eagles are taking a road trip to take on the Warriors at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

West Hancock is headed into Monday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 25th straight game dating back to last season on Friday. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-4 heartbreaker at the hands of Garner-Hayfield/Ventura. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Eagles have suffered since May 30th.

Meanwhile, North Union fell victim to Osage and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They lost 10-0 to the Green Devils. The Warriors have struggled against the Green Devils recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

West Hancock's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for North Union, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-5.

West Hancock might still be hurting after the 16-3 loss they got from North Union in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
