Soccer Game Preview: Richwoods vs. Normal Community

The Richwoods Knights will challenge the Normal Community Ironmen at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Richwoods will be strutting in after a win while Normal Community will be coming in after a defeat.

Richwoods headed into their last contest having not scored more than one goal for three straight, but Manual let them put that streak behind them. The Knights put the hurt on the Rams with a sharp 5-1 victory on Saturday. The result was nothing new for Richwoods, who have now won seven matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit Manual with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Nathan Boyer (2), Zach Hermann (2), and Augustus Isada.

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Normal Community's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Naperville Central. Having soared to a lofty seven goals in the game before, Normal Community couldn't push the score so high this time.

Richwoods picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 10-5-2. As for Normal Community, their loss dropped their record down to 9-3-2.
