Soccer Recap: Wasco Triumphs

Wasco proved they can win big last Wednesday (they won by eight) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Shafter Generals. The win continues a trend for Wasco in their matchups with Shafter: they've now won five in a row.

Arianna Bernal and Giselle Torres scored all three of Wasco's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 26 goals.

The victory got Wasco back to even at 8-8. As for Shafter, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1-1 and their overall record down to 10-3-2.

Wasco didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 4-0 defeat against McFarland on the 22nd. As for Shafter, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next match, a 4-1 win against Chavez on the 22nd.
