Recap: Woodcreek Timberwolves vs. Alameda Hornets

On Saturday, things could have been worse for Woodcreek, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 57-40 loss to Alameda. Woodcreek was down 48-28 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Despite the loss, Woodcreek still got an impressive performance from Ryan Nair, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. Nair hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Fisilau, who scored five points along with eight rebounds and four steals.

Woodcreek's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-11. As for Alameda, their victory bumped their record up to 15-5.

Woodcreek is on the road again on Monday and plays Inderkum at 7:30 p.m. on January 29th. Inderkum is coming into the game with ten straight wins at home, so Woodcreek is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum. Alameda will take on San Leandro at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Alameda is not getting complacent considering they own a much higher rank in California (they are ranked 166th, while San Leandro is ranked 645th).
