Football Recap: St. Luke's Find Success

After losing to Long Island Lutheran the last time they met, St. Luke decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Storm managed a 26-21 victory over the Crusaders on Saturday.

St. Luke's can attribute much of their success to Dylan Schorpp, who threw for 304 yards and three touchdowns while completing 73.5% of his passes. What's more, Schorpp racked up 117.8 passer rating, the most he's had since back in October of 2024.

St. Luke's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Long Island Lutheran, they dropped their record down to 1-7 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Luke's will welcome Peddie at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Storm will be up against the Falcons' rather soft defense (which has allowed 31.67 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Long Island Lutheran, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Varsity Opponent at 12:00 p.m. on November 8.
