Football Recap: Weskan Beats Northern Valley for Their Sixth Straight Win

Weskan had won five straight games and Karsyn Wright did his part to make it six on Friday. The Coyotes breezed past the Northern Valley Huskies to the tune of 46-0 thanks in part to Wright, who rushed for 94 yards and two scores on only 11 carries. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, forcing one fumble and making five total tackles.

Another player making a difference was Dodger Allen, who picked up 30 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. He didn't just play on offense: he also made six total tackles and defended one pass.

Special teams was a major factor in the game for Weskan, racking up 11 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Wright, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.

Weskan's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Northern Valley, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Coming up, Weskan will challenge Triplains/Brewster at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Coyotes will be up against the Titans' rather soft defense (which has allowed 57.17 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Northern Valley, they will host Western Plains at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
