Baseball Game Preview: John Milledge Academy Trojans vs. Strong Rock Christian Patriots

The John Milledge Academy Trojans will square off against the Strong Rock Christian Patriots at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

On Tuesday, John Milledge Academy got the win against Brentwood by a conclusive 8-2. The Trojans haven't had any issues with the War Eagles recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Graysen Paradise and Kolt McMichael made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Paradise struck out ten batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off seven hits (and only one walk). Meanwhile, McMichael pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance gave Paradise a new career-high in strikeouts. At bat, Paradise went 1-for-3 with one home run, while McMichael scored a run while going 3-for-4. That home run marked the first that Paradise launched this season.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was David Todd, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those two runs gave him a new career-high.

John Milledge Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, while Strong Rock Christian put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Rock Springs Christian Academy. Everything went Strong Rock Christian's way against Rock Springs Christian Academy as Strong Rock Christian made off with a 16-0 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Patriots considering their two-run performance the contest before.

The victory got Strong Rock Christian back to even at 5-5. As for John Milledge Academy, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.
